Astroworld 02:57
I heard they tore down Astroworld, my favorite theme park. Each ride torn down and six flag furled is like a dagger through my heart. I know that I shouldn't be surprised that men with dollar signs in their eyes would take million dollar bids on the memory of kids' summer nights. The Warp 2000 is the first ride that I ever loved. You sit in a car that rotates around an arm that rotates around a hub. But its all gone. I heard they tore down Astroworld, packed up and moved away. The orphaned rides found foster homes, but its just not the same. But you know who I feel sorriest for? Those who never got to darken its doors. Because it's one thing to describe and another to arrive and explore. I can't count how many times I saw "Blast!" before it ended its run. And where else could you be swung from swings suspended from giant guns? I used to stand in line for the cyclone but could never get on, and the XLR-8 was great in its day now it's gone. Its all gone.

Astrodome 03:21
There was a day when they would say you were a wonder of the world. There was a time they'd wait in a line to make your turnstiles whirl, but it sure has been quite a while. Astrodome, remember when they called you home? How sad it seems that all your teams left you for Tennessee and buildings named for companies. They said it couldn't happen in New York City. They said it couldn't happen to Old Comiskey. But go ask them now if there is any doubt and I think we know what they'll say. There will come a day when they blow you away to make room for a parking lot. There will come a time it will be hard to find the place where they left you to rot. They might let a plaque mark the spot. Astrodome, remember when they called you home? How sad it seems that all your teams left you for Tennessee and buildings named for companies.
