The sun and moon and stars used to dictate what we could see, but most of the time it was pretty dark.
While no one is exactly sure how fire came to be, eventually we learned to make it start.
Now we take it for granted, but imagine our first reaction!

I mean, they're pretty, and I guess they were good, but this is better.
Since then we've invented ways much more sophisticated (filaments and gas in vacuum tubes) to keep the whole wide world constantly illuminated, but some people complain about the view.
They call progress pollution!
